The Smartwares 10.044.62 Smoke alarm provides early warning in the event of fire, sounding an 85 dB alarm at 3 m distance to help you react quickly. Powered by an included replaceable 9 V battery with a 1-year lifespan, the alarm features an optical sensor rated for a service life of 10 years.

Optical sensor and false-alarm hush mode
The optical sensor reacts swiftly to smouldering fires while reducing nuisance alarms. If a false alarm occurs, the hush mode lets you lower the sensor sensitivity for 10 minutes to mute the sound. The sensor itself remains operational for 10 years, after which the entire smoke alarm unit must be replaced.

Battery-powered with low-battery warning
Operating on an included 6F22 9 V battery, this standalone battery-powered smoke alarm requires no electrical wiring. A low-battery indicator sounds an audible signal when it is time to replace the 1-year battery. A built-in security pin prevents the smoke alarm from being mounted to the ceiling if no battery is inserted.

Testing and ceiling installation
Mount the smoke alarm to the ceiling along escape routes such as hallways and stairwells using the supplied mounting materials. You can verify regular operation with the integrated test button, which allows for regular functional testing.

If You Change Your Mind

You have 30 days from delivery to change your mind and request a return. Some returns may be subject to a handling charge, which will be confirmed in writing.

Before returning any items, you must obtain an SRN (Sales Return Number) by calling 01204 535222 or emailing websales@chorleyelectrical.com. Please have your original invoice number ready or include it in your email.

To return items, complete our Returns Form, available to download here: RETURNS_FORM, or request a copy from our sales office. Ensure the SRN number is written on both the returns form and the outer packaging (not the item packaging).

Important Notes:

Returns are made at your own cost and risk.
Items must arrive in perfect, resaleable condition, with undamaged and unmarked original packaging.
Returned goods must reach us within 30 days of the SRN issue date.
Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving your return.
Original delivery charges are non-refundable.

Special Order Items

Items marked as “Special Order Item” carry a 15–30% restocking charge, meaning refunds will be 70–85% of the original value, depending on the supplier.

Refunds will not be issued if:

You request cancellation more than 30 days after delivery.
Items are returned without a completed returns form and SRN number.
Goods are not in perfect resaleable condition.
Original packaging is marked or damaged.
Goods are received more than 30 days after the SRN issue date.
Items deemed non-refundable are not collected or returned (additional charges apply).

Faulty Items

Please notify us immediately if an item develops a fault. If the item is within the manufacturer’s warranty, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

Faulty items must be returned with a completed returns form and SRN number.

If testing shows the product is not faulty or has been damaged due to incorrect installation, a refund or replacement will not be issued.
